Hearthstone Wild Open with Guukboii and Sjoesie
There’s been a lot of action lately in the world of Hearthstone. With its quick expanding player- and viewerbase, Hearthstone is one of the biggest games in eSports scene. Official tournaments follow eachother up in no time, and yet again, a new tournament has been announced:
We’re proud to announce that two of our very own players, Kobe “Guukboii” Van Schepdael and Matthias “Sjoesie” Lootens, have finished amongst EU’s top 64 and thus have been invited for the Wild Open qualifiers. With recent experience gathered at some of Europe’s biggest tournaments, they are ready to represent Sector One amongst EU’s greatest.
On June 9, the Wild Open will gather the 64 best players on the Wild leaderboards for each region. The online qualifiers will be played following a best-of-five Conquest format, where players have 1 ban. By the hand of double elimination, players are protected from direct knockout. These exciting duels will decide the 2 best players of each continent, who will advance to the live finals on July 1 and 2.
Other than prestige, Guukboii and Sjoesie will be battling for the breathtaking prizepool of $25,000 USD.
Like every official Hearthstone tournament, the Wild Open will be broadcasted live on twitch. Dan ‘Frodan’ Chou, TJ ‘Azumo’ Sanders, Robert Wing, and Nathan ‘ThatsAdmirable’ Zamora will be your hosts for the online part of the tournament. However, the live finals will be casted by Frodan, Brian Kibler, Simon ‘Sottle’ Welch, and Alex ‘Raven’ Baguley.
More information and broadcast times will be added later, but for now, feel free to head over to the official website.
