Sector One Goes to Korea

Posted by Catherine Rector 12 August 2019 in Esports

Two of Sector One’s players, AVZ and Sjoesie, have qualified for one of the biggest Hearthstone tournaments in Asia, Hearthstone Masters: Seoul. They’ll fight their way through 300 other competitors over an entire weekend for a share of the $500,000 prize pool. The competition takes place in the scenic city of Seoul, South Korea.

South Korea is considered one of the pioneers of esports. In addition, Seoul is the capital of professional gaming. During our stay, we’ll capture that competitive essence in a series of videos, albums, and live streams to bring straight to you.

AVZ and Sjoesie have a history of wins already under their belt. Sjoesie is a long-time Hearthstone player who’s taken home two consecutive 1st place wins from the Kayzr League and one from ESL Proximus, among other things. AVZ is a newer face to the competitive scene but has already made his mark by earning 1st place at LouvardGame 4.2. He also qualified for last season’s WCG playoffs and the Kayzr League. Both players plan to make their mark on Hearthstone Masters: Seoul.
