Sector One is looking for Gwent Players

Sector One is proud to announce a new title to our roster in the new and exciting addition to the realm of competitive gaming.  Gwent, a fast-paced, free to play, collectible card game that simulates two armies meeting on the battlefield, features unique mechanics and a fresh take on game play that is easy for players to pick up but due to it’s depth can present a challenge only the most skilled can master.

Gwent is already attracting public and professional attention.  Even in it’s closed beta form, the game has already drawn many well-known champions of Hearthstone to compete for $100,000 in the ESL hosted Gwent Challenger Tournament making unprecedented headway in the e-sports market before it was even released to the public.

Since Gwent is new and most of the pros are from Hearthstone, it makes sense that one of our own, Liam “LbDutchboy” Brouwer , who finished 22nd global in Gwent’s last season, will be the first to join the roster to represent Sector One and compete with the best players in the world.

Here is what he had to say about his decision in his own words :

Hello everyone LbDutchboy here,

I have recently decided to switch my main game to Gwent made by Cd Project Red and formerly a unique card mini game only playable in The Witcher : Wild Hunt but now available as a stand alone, free to play, pvp card game.

I have always been a fan of the Witcher series , I’ve played a lot of Witcher 3 especially and loved it, and I have a known love for card games. That made Gwent the perfect game for me to pick up. The competitive side of me wanted to see how far I could make it in another game than Hearthstone and that side gave me a top 25 global finish with a 67% winrate ( The decklist is at the end of the article if you are interested).  Gwent was a big succes for me and for other former Hearthstone players , which I respect a lot, like LifeCoach, SuperJJ and GameKing as well. Some of which have also switched their main game to Gwent.

I am happy with the chance that Sector One has given me and will try my best to become a part of the best Gwent players out there.
