WoTOG Easy Legend Shaman Zoo

[ish_image image=”2326″ size=”full”]Up to now most people perceived Shaman as either an aggro or a midrange deck, but I see room for a new deck archetype: The Shaman’s Zoo.

Hey everyone my name is Jackker and I’ve always been a fan of board flood decks, I’ve had a lot of high legend finishes with Zoo and Secret Paladin. And in tournaments Zoo has been one of the most consistent decks for me. Although this isn’t your “usual” warlock Zoo, it functions the same way: flooding the board and taking control with value trades and consistently applying pressure.

In this guide I will go over the general game plan of the deck, mulligans and card choices.

If you want to see this deck live in action, give me a follow on Twitch.

I’ll also be posting new ideas on my Twitter[ish_separator][ish_tgg_acc][ish_tgg_acc_item el_title=”Decklist (Show/Hide)”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][ish_image image=”2321″ size=”full”][/ish_tgg_acc_item][/ish_tgg_acc][ish_headline tag_size=”h4″]General StrategyYour goal is to take control of the board very early and using that to snowball into a win. You want to be “flooding” the board in order to run over your opponent and reap the benefits from [Thing From Below] which functions as Zoo’s Sea Giant and is usually played for 2-3 mana.

Keep control of the board and trade your weaker minions. When you are already far ahead you can just start cashing in the damage and go face, especially when you pick up Doomhammer. Try to play around board clear abilities such as Hellfire or Consecration.[ish_headline tag_size=”h4″]MulliganLook for: Totem Golem, Tunnel Trogg, Argent Squire if you have one (or more) of these cards also keep: Abusive Sergeant, Flame Juggler, Feral Spirit.

If your curve is already looking solid keep Flamewreathed Faceless, it applies a huge amount of pressure at the start, and Big Game Hunter is now a 5-mana card.

When on The Coin keep the cards mentioned above but keep in mind that you can mulligan slightly greedier. Look for a power play turn 1 Tunnel Trogg into coin Feral Spirit, you can also keep Brann Bronzebeard if your hand is already looking pretty good.

Just a mulligan rule in general: think about your turn 1, turn 2, turn 3.[ish_headline tag_size=”h4″]StatsRight now the meta is very quirky, everyone is still playtesting and just experimenting with new decklists. Currently i’m maintaining a 70% win rate in high Legend.[ish_headline tag_size=”h4″]TipsFlametongue Totem is a key card in this deck, so positioning is extremely important. You want to buff your non sticky minions with the Flametongue Totem. Place your stickier / value minions such as Tunnel Trogg / Brann Bronzebeard to the left and your weaker minions such as Argent Squire / Abusive Sergeant / Totems to the right, so you can always get the most out of your flametongue.

Example[ish_image image=”2322″ size=”full”]Tuskarr Totemic: Place minion to the left, so when Flametongue Totem spawns it is already positioned in between your minions[ish_headline tag_size=”h4″]Notable CardsArgent Squire: Sticky minion works great with Abusive Sergeant & Flametongue Totem
Brann Bronzebeard:Abusive Sergeant, Tuskarr Totemic, Flame Juggler, Fireguard Destroyer, Master of Evolution, Fire Elemental all have synergy with this card

Fireguard Destroyer: Very sticky body, can just crush the game

Flamewreathed Faceless: Can close the game very rapidly

Master of Evolution: Helps to evolve your board, also “heals” your minion and gives it an upgrade!
Thing from Below: Often played very cheapy for 2-3 mana, functions the same way Sea Giant does in Zoo[ish_headline tag_size=”h4″]StreamI’ll be streaming regulary if people like this deck so give me a follow on Twitch if you want to see this deck in action!
